James “Lights Out” Lilley is ready to kick 2023 off with a bang.
The Welsh fighter looks to improve to 3-0 under the BKFC banner against American Bobby “ODB” Taylor (5-1) in the BKFC 36 Co-Main Event on Feb. 24 in New Orleans, LIVE on The BKFC App.
Lilley is No. 3 on the BKFC lightweight rankings, while Taylor rounds out the Top 5. This is Lilley’s second time competing against a Top 5 opponent, and he’s ready to rise to the occasion once again.
“(Taylor) is a very dangerous, powerful, explosive fighter. He’s also had six bare knuckle fights, and experience in this game goes a long way,” Lilley says.
“I don’t see this as an easy fight – far from it. It is probably my hardest fight to date,” he adds. “But at the level we’re fighting at, there are no easy fights now, and I relish in the pressure.”
Lilley, 36, would like to compete as much as he can in 2023.
“Spring, summer, winter sounds like a nice active year to me.”
