Ja'Far Fortt “Knox” is on the BKFC honor roll after a standout freshman campaign in the Squared Circle.
On Friday – just two days shy of the first anniversary of his BKFC debut – Fortt improved to 3-0 under the BKFC banner with a 28-second victory over Aaron Sutterfield at BKFC 53 in Orlando.
“Everything played out as I hoped – we got the finish to improve to 3-0 with BKFC on my one-year anniversary,” the Stamford, CT-born SHIFT MMA welterweight says.
“I’m grateful for the people I have in my corner, and I’m grateful for what we’ve accomplished in my first year with BKFC.”
All three of Fortt’s wins have come by stoppage, including two in less than 30 seconds. Fortt is pleased with his success over the past 12 months, and he’s even more excited for his sophomore campaign with BKFC.
“I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen in the next year, but I know there’s going to be a lot more competition, and that’s what I’m really looking forward to,” he says.
“I made a statement that I’m here to fight. I have love and passion for the sport, I’m willing to go the distance, and I’m going to take it all.”
