Guillermo Perez wears many hats.
The Cuba-born Florida product works in the BKFC fighter relations department and as a cutman for the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion. On Saturday at BKFC 34, however, he will step into the Squared Circle for the first time as a combatant.
“Man, I’m very excited,” Perez says before his clash with Rob Fuller this weekend in Hollywood, FL, LIVE on the BKFC app.
“This is a great opportunity for me and my team. This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time.”
Perez has been boxing for most of his life, so this isn’t a decision he made lightly. He’s ready to make a statement in his first transition from BKFC staff to BKFC fighter.
“At the end of the day, the best man is going to win. I’m going to go out there and try my best, and show exactly what I can do," he says.
“I’ve got plans to eventually hold that belt and continue my career as a cutman," he adds. "I’m going to go get this belt and hopefully everything works out as planned.”
