Esteban "Mohawk" Rodriguez earned his third BKFC victory on Saturday with a second-round KO over Keegan Vandermeer in their cruiserweight clash at BKFC 56.
“I told you guys – I’m the next evolution of fighter, man. Pressure on pressure, and we all know pressure creates diamonds,” Rodriguez says after his win at the sold-out Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, UT. “When you’ve got that fire and that pressure, there’s no doubt about it – you get those beautiful diamonds.”
Aside from some slight swelling of the knuckles, Rodriguez left the Squared Circle in good shape on Saturday. Now 3-1, with all of his wins coming by stoppage, the Grand Rapids, MI fighter is looking for a quick turnaround against a fighter at the top of BKFC’s stacked cruiserweight division.
“I’ve told you guys from the beginning that I’m on a warpath; there’s nothing in this world that can stop me,” he says. “I’m going to mop the floor with this whole division – they don’t even know what’s coming.”
