The red-hot Donald Sanchez only has one name on his hit list — undisputed BKFC World Middleweight Champion David “Redneck” Mundell.
On Friday, Sanchez earned his fourth straight victory with a unanimous decision over Harrison Aiken in the Co-Main Event of BKFC Fight Night: Albuquerque at the sold-out Kiva Auditorium, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
“I’m ready to get that belt,” the surging Albuquerque, NM product says after smashing his way to 4-1 in the BKFC Squared Circle.
“I’ve earned my shot, and I’m ready to take what’s mine.”
Sanchez is with BKFC to fight the best, and nobody better fits that description than Mundell. “Redneck” has successfully defended his BKFC crown with a trio of stoppage victories over Mike Richman, Doug Coltrane and Danny Christie. The hard-hitting Mundell is 9-1 under the BKFC banner and unbeaten in his last seven, with his last five victories coming by stoppage.
Still, Sanchez has a simple prediction for a possible showdown with Mundell.
“I see myself knocking him out,” he says.
“He’s the Pound-for-Pound king, but I’m here. I’m getting better every fight. He’s good, but I’m better, and I’m going to knock him out.”
