Dameko Labon knows what kind of opportunity is waiting for him tonight at the inaugural BKFC Prospect Series event in his hometown of Miami.
If Labon can impress BKFC Founder/President David Feldman with his performance against Justin Watson, he’ll be awarded a multi-fight contract with BKFC, the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion.
So the 22-year-old bantamweight doesn’t just want to win tonight – he wants to turn heads and make a big-time statement to fans and BKFC brass.
“My goal is to stand out as one of those guys that they see champion potential in. I don’t want to just compete or even just win a belt – I want to be a face of BKFC for years to come,” Labon says.
“I want to really show my stuff and have a standout performance.”
Labon says his “killer instinct and freak athleticism” set him apart from his peers on the first ever Prospect Series event, which airs LIVE on The BKFC App.
“I’m extremely strong, I’m extremely fast, and I’ve got a very high fight IQ,” he says. “I’m starting to put everything together as a whole fighter. I’m constantly getting better, rapidly.”
Labon prefers to let his hands do the talking, but he does have a statement for the BKFC boss Feldman.
“I’m going to put on a great performance for you, and I’m going to do everything I can to get that KO for the fans,” he says. “I want to be a household name, and that all starts now.”
