Crystal Pittman fights for those who can't after falling in love with BKFC

Crystal Pittman and bare knuckle fighting is a match made in heaven.

Formerly an MMA fighter, Pittman knew she wanted to drop the gloves as soon as she saw action unfold in the BKFC Squared Circle.

“I fell in love with bare knuckle fighting and chose to pursue the sport because it’s the purest form of combat sports,” Pittman says.

“I even studied it before BKFC arrived. It's an historic art to me because of the years it's been around and the history and story of it all.”

Plus, as Pittman says with a big laugh, “gloves were just never for me.”

“I just absolutely fell in love with bare knuckle fighting. That’s how it is with fighters. They just absolutely fall in love with it, or it’s too intense for them,” she says. “Hitting and getting hit never phased me.”

Pitmann enters the BKFC Squared Circle for the fourth time Saturday at BKFC 31 in Denver. She takes on Khortni “The Head Hunter” Kamyron, LIVE on the BKFC app.

She has big goals in the world of bare knuckle fighting, and she has hopes that transcend the sporting world.

“My main reason for starting my fighting career was fighting for people who can’t fight for themselves. I’m a huge advocate for survivors of domestic abuse and child abuse. Giving a voice to the voiceless has been my biggest passion, and the whole reason why I dropped everything and began fighting full time," Pittman says.

“I want to reach out to the people and bring survivors out of the darkness.”
