'Brutal' Jake Bostwick aims to entertain in BKFC 38 Co-Main

Jake Bostwick has nearly 30 pro MMA bouts on his official resume, but only a few wins by submission.

That’s not a coincidence.

“I’m a striker – I like to throw my hands,” the heavy-handed BKFC middleweight contender says with a chuckle.

Bostwick says that he knew bare knuckle fighting was the sport for him the second he saw a BKFC event. Everyone that knew Bostwick agreed, he says, and he made his Squared Circle debut in 2020.

Bostwick is 2-2 under the BKFC banner following his second-round stoppage victory over UFC vet Chris Fishgold at BKFC 27 in London. He returns to action against Isaac “The Honey Badger” Doolittle (3-1) in the Co-Main Event of BKFC 38 on April 21 in Hollywood, FL, LIVE on The BKFC App.

The England-born, Miami-based Bostwick predicts another stoppage over Doolittle, who’s coming off a razor-close loss to Mike “The Marine” Richman in their BKFC 31 bout for the BKFC World Interim Light-Heavyweight Championship.

Competing in the Co-Main Event is a delight for Bostwick. The former bouncer says he would compete without the bright lights and international fanfare, but he is keen on taking advantage of BKFC’s platform as the fastest growing combat sports promotion on the planet.

“I know who I am and what I bring to the table – I’m very marketable. I’m not just an everyday fighter. I’m not just going in there to fight; I’m going in there to put on a (expletive) show,” he says.

“I want to be the reason why fans come back to watch the sport. I’m never in a boring fight, mate. I’m an entertainer. I love being in front of the camera. I want the attention, I want the fame, I want to be under that spotlight. I’m 100-percent ready to be in that position at this stage of my career.”
