Brandon Meyer's quest for gold continues at BKFC Omaha on Friday

Meyer eyes his 2nd straight KO at BKFC Fight Night Omaha

Brandon Meyer is with BKFC for one reason.

“I want to be a champion,” he says ahead of his return to the Squared Circle on Friday at BKFC Fight Night Omaha, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

“If you’re crazy enough to do this sport in this first place, especially once you’ve had a couple bare knuckle fights, that has to be your goal.

“There’s a lot easier ways to make money.”

The gold-minded Meyer is looking to climb to 4-2 under the BKFC banner with a second straight stoppage victory over the unbeaten Emeka Ifekandu (2-0) in their lightweight matchup Friday at The Astro in Meyer’s hometown of Omaha, NE.

“I see myself picking him apart and ending it with my power. I don’t think he’s been cracked with the kind of shot that I can deliver,” Meyer says.

“My last camp went great and you guys saw my performance. This fight will just be a continuation of that,” he adds. “No injuries, and I’m looking forward to putting on another great performance.”

Meyer hopes a big win Friday will move him a big step closer to a shot at the BKFC World Lightweight Championship, which is currently held by the undefeated Franco Tenaglia.

“They offered me Luis Palomino and I accepted. They offered me Howard Davis and I accepted. I’ll fight anybody, but I want those big names,” he says.

“I’m ready to fight the best of the best.”
