Bobby "ODB" Taylor: "I Don't Have Time To Waste"

Bobby “ODB” Taylor was victorious in his hotly contested return to the Squared Circle at BKFC Fight Night Omaha.

After nearly 15 months on the sideline, Taylor returned to the win column with a hard-fought, unanimous decision over Ryan Roberts recently at the sold-out Liberty First Arena in Omaha, NE. With the win, Taylor upped his bare knuckle record to 6-2 and successfully turned the page on his BKFC 36 Co-Main Event loss to James Lilley in their de facto title eliminator fight for the BKFC World Lightweight Championship.

“I could tell that I hadn’t been in there in a little bit, but after getting in there and banging it out a bit, it was good to see that I still have the endurance and the desire to keep going,” the gritty Tupelo, MS product says after his big win.

“I hadn’t been tested like that in a while.”

The bustling BKFC lightweight division is arguably the most stacked weight class in the organization. Taylor knew that an impressive win would solidify his spot in the Top 5 rankings and a disappointing loss could land him at the bottom of the pack of hungry contenders.

“That win was huge,” he says.

“It gives me a lot more confidence, and it puts my career back on the right track.”

Taylor wants to strike while the iron’s hot.

“I’d love to get back in there this summer and fight at least two more times by the end of the year,” he says.

“I don’t have time to waste like a lot of fighters; those 15 months were way too long.”
