At BKFC 53 on Friday, LIVE on The BKFC App from Olympia Weekend in Orlando, FL, David “Redneck” Mundell (7-1) defends his BKFC World Middleweight Championship for the second time against undefeated challenger Doug “ColdRed” Coltrane (3-0). We checked in with some of BKFC’s most savvy fighters to get their take on Friday's must-see Main Event.

James “Get Down” Brown: David Mundell has good power, speed, footwork, keeps his head moving and his hands up. He’s the champ for a reason. Doug Coltrane is a friend of mine. I've trained with him for a number of years and fought on some of the same cards he has, from kickboxing to MMA and bare knuckle fighting. He’s got the reach advantage, power, the will of fire and an indomitable spirit. As long as he does everything right, I believe he gets the job done! I'm going with Coltrane by unanimous decision.

Zach “Shark Attack” Calmus: This matchup has “Knockout of the Night” written all over it. I strongly believe Mundell will need to overcome Coltrane’s range, as he’s a taller fighter. But once inside, Mundell has serious knockout power. I think this fight will be over quickly, with David Mundell retaining his Championship.

Howard “HD” Davis: I think it'll be a pretty even fight. Mundell has the edge, no lie, but Coltrane is a dog. Majority decision for either/or.

Blake “Big Boy” LaCaze: Mundell vs. Coltrane will be a clash of power punchers, and it’ll come down to who lands first. I want to fight the winner or loser.  

Michael Larrimore: Mystic Mike predicts David puts Douglas down inside of one round and it’ll be a #ShiftShow once again – #AndStill!

JR “The Lion” Ridge: Going with my brother Dave Mundell! There’s nobody in the division right now that can touch him. Mundell by first-round KO.

Esteban “Mohawk” Rodriguez: David Mundell will be coming in like a bat out of hell, winning by TKO.

Kasim “Caution” Ruffin: David should run away with this one. I will say that something is going on with them Carolina boys; they’re showing up and showing out, but I'm going David by KO.

Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren: Easy pick for me – Dave will finish this guy inside of two rounds, no doubt about it. No disrespect to his opponent because you should always take a title shot when offered, but I think he’s going to find out the hard way there’s levels to this game.
