BKFC is the place to be for Rodney Hinton.
The Hudson, FL product is now officially 2-0 in the Squared Circle following his action-packed unanimous decision over Darren Whitney at BKFC 76 at the sold-out Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX.
Hinton’s second victory comes less than two months after his professional premiere, when he needed just 71 seconds to stop Ben Jacobsen in their matchup. His resume also includes a pair of impressive wins under the BKFC Prospect Series banner.
“BKFC is the best thing that ever happened to me,” the personable Hinton beams with a smile.
“It’s a totally different atmosphere than gloved boxing. BKFC fans absolutely love this sport, and I know the team at BKFC loves the sport.
“I feel amazing here,” he adds. “This is the best I’ve ever felt in my combat sports career.”
Part of that comes from the presence of defending BKFC World Women’s Flyweight Champion Christine “Misfit” Ferea, who was a part of Hinton’s corner team at BKFC 76.
“Christine is my favorite fighter of all time, and she’s had such a positive impact on my career. She’s already conquered everything that I’m trying to get through. She’s a BKFC encyclopedia, and she’s an open book too,” Hinton says.
“She’s the greatest fighter of all time, and I can’t wait to train with her again.”
Hinton has emphatically established his presence with the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion. But he’s just warming up.
“I see myself as BKFC’s hottest new star,” he says.
“I’d like to fight at least twice again before the end of the year,” he adds. “My early wins have given me a lot of momentum, and I just want to keep it rolling towards the belt.”
