A pair of Top 5-ranked fighters compete at BKFC 42 on Friday in Greenville, SC, LIVE on The BKFC App.

x Andy “The CrAsian” Nguyen, No. 2-ranked contender in the women’s strawweight division, tries to improve to 3-0 against the debuting Sydney “Sundance” Smith. Before she entered the Squared Circle for the first time at BKFC 24 in 2022, Nguyen was a veteran of nearly 20 pro MMA fights, with professional bouts across the United States, Canada, China, Italy, Japan and Trinidad and Tobago.

x Brandon Allen, the No. 4-ranked contender at featherweight, looks to climb to 3-1 against the unranked Trevor Loken (1-0, 1 KO). Allen is riding high following back-to-back wins in 2022, most recently scoring a third-round stoppage victory over Josh Marer at BKFC 32 in November.

On The Bubble

x The undefeated Tony “Loco” Soto (4-0, 3 KOs) and Tyler “El Tornado” Goodjohn (4-2, 1 KO) could punch their ticket to the Top 5 lightweight rankings with a big win in Friday’s Main Event. Soto is going for his fourth straight win, while Goodjohn looks to get back in the win column after losses to Luis Palomino, the No. 1-ranked Pound-for-Pound BKFC fighter, and James Lilley, the No. 1 contender in the BKFC lightweight rankings

x Middleweight rankings consideration is on the line in the Co-Main Event. Doug “ColdRed” Coltrane looks to improve to 3-0 with a second straight KO, while Blake LaCaze tries to climb to 2-1 with a second straight stoppage victory.

x In the featherweight division, Trevor Loken is coming off a 40-second stoppage win over UFC vet Marcus Brimage in his Squared Circle at BKFC 35 in January. Prior to his BKFC debut, he was 5-0 in amateur MMA bouts, with all of his wins coming by finish. A big win over the surging Brandon Allen could land him a spot among the Top 5 145ers in BKFC.

x The debuting Sydney “Sundance” Smith could enter the Top 5 women’s strawweight division rankings with a convincing win over Andy Nguyen, the No. 2 contender in the division.
