Wilhelm Ott fights out of Linz, Austria and has extensive experience dating back to 2007. With almost 40 mixed martial arts fights to his name and a dead even record of 19-19-1, you know Ott is willing to throw down anytime, anywhere. The Austrian got into bare-knuckle in 2023 and has just dabbled in the sport with a 1-1 record before his BKFC debut where he saw himself in a main event against the dangerous Vaso Bakocevic.
It’s rare to see a debutant in a main event spot but the BKFC brass has had their eyes on Ott for some time. Outside circumstances made for difficult matchmaking and the fights never came to fruition.
The multiple weight MMA champion is a devout muslim and says that his life is better because of his faith. Before pronouncing the Shahada, Ott claimed that he would regularly get injured and struggle in day to day life. Now we have a dangerous and healthy fighter on our hands in the middleweight division.
