Ryan Sanson has some boxing matches under his belt but steps onto the big stage with the BKFC to toe the line with Jeremy Waltron. These two true prospects will open up the night in Newcastle on a Prospect Series card.
Sanson is an Army veteran who did two tours in Afghanistan. He has been open about returning home with mental health issues and he needed a purpose like the military gave him. He began boxing to raise money for charities that he supports like I heart Africa and the Royal British Legion. His fighting skills have helped him to continue to do good.
Holding onto that warrior spirit, Sanson likes to view his opponent in the Squared Circle as his mortal enemy. He darkens his heart in the moments leading up to and during combat, then after it’s all said and done, he’s back to a loving and kind human being. He says that he likes to be a caring individual because he’s seen so much pain and negativity in this world. Don’t let that lead you to believe that he’s soft because that’s a mistake and he’s as hard as can be when he fights!
