Markus Suarez made his BKFC debut on the first ever BKFC Prospect Series in Miami, Florida where he lives. He fell short in his debut but the striker is motivated to turn things around and contend in the light heavyweight division. 

Suarez is a weight loss coach and also helps people with self development and improvement. He practices what he preaches with facing your fears and insecurities head on as seen in his demanding of an immediate rematch with Drew Nolan for his second fight in the BKFC. Nolan defeated Suarez in his debut performance. 

Suarez is a dedicated father and all of his interests seem to revolve around protecting the ones he loves most. Along with martial arts and hand to hand combat, Suarez is a big supporter of the second amendment.
