Armando Rodriguez entered the highest level of bare-knuckle fighting after having a bout with another current member of the BKFC roster in Anthony Yost. The two fought outside of the organization and Rodriguez came out on top that night back in 2023.
The bantamweight debuted in BKFC against Dameko Labon and made good on that performance knocking out the prospect in round one.
Rodriguez is aggression personified, but excels when he is able to set up counter punches. He is very fast, even at the bantamweight level and that speed creates a higher punching power than we are used to seeing at 135. Rodriguez will bounce between single power shots and nasty combinations in the pocket. He’s also taken clean shots and can remain moving forward to this point.
