Jeremiah Riggs knows that fortune favors the ready, so “Big Rig” is always prepared for battle.

He’s hoping his preparedness pays off Saturday at KnuckleMania 4 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It’s the biggest BKFC event of all time, so Riggs was more than happy to accept the short-notice call to arms against Mexican boxing legend Alfredo “El Perro” Angulo on Saturday’s Main Card, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

“I’m feeling great, and I’m very blessed to have this opportunity,” says Riggs, who’s coming off a 49-second victory in the Co-Main Event of the recent BKFC Prospect Series event in Canada.

“I’ve always had an urgency to be in fighting shape and ready to compete. Especially when you’re signed to a roster and you want to be at the top of your division, there’s really no offseason in what we’re doing … You always have to be ready for the call, and I got it.”

All eyes in the combat sports world will be on KnuckleMania 4. The sport’s biggest star, “Platinum” Mike Perry, looks to up his spotless BKFC record to 5-0 against his toughest challenge yet, former BKFC World Champion Thiago “Pitbull” Alves. Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt tries to make history as the first three-division World Champion in BKFC history as he battles Mick Terrill, the reigning BKFC World Heavyweight Champion.

But Riggs doesn’t just want to be a part of the historic card; the proud Vicksburg, MS product wants to steal the show. The judges haven’t been needed in any of Riggs’ four previous BKFC bouts. Though he’s ready for five hard rounds in Los Angeles, Riggs isn’t interested in adding a decision to his record.

“This is the best that I’ve felt in my BKFC career, so I’m ready for anything. I have a lot of faith in the system that I’m in, I have faith in my coaches, and I have faith in my skills,” he says.

“If it goes five rounds, I’m ready for it. But I’m also ready to shut my opponent down. I’m very confident in my skills and the blueprint that we’ve put together to beat Angulo.”
