Life is good for Christine Ferea.
“Misfit,” as she’s known to fans around the world, has established herself as the most dominant female fighter in BKFC history. Ferea’s 6-1 record is best all-time amongst female fighters. She’s riding high with four straight victories since 2020, including a 40-second KO over the previously unbeaten Taylor Starling in her first title defense in August.
“Life has been great; it was a dream come true to become World Champion,” Ferea says. “There are so many opportunities that come with being in my position. This is the platform that I’ve always wanted, allowing me to reach out to the youth and struggling people of all ages.
“I’m grateful and happy.”
Ferea will soon be in a position to enlarge her sphere of influence once again when she defends her BKFC World Women’s Flyweight Championship for a second time against Bec Rawlings (3-1) at BKFC 41 on April 29 in Denver, LIVE on The BKFC App.
This is a fight that Ferea has wanted for half a decade, and she’s ready to rise to the occasion in the Mile High State.
“I’m extremely excited for this matchup because I get to test myself against one of the best athletes in the world of MMA. She’s very aggressive and likes to bang – that’s something that I look forward to,” Ferea says of her matchup with Rawlings, a seven-time UFC vet.
“She has a lot of experience on the big stage and her composure will be unmatched from any other opponent I’ve faced,” she adds. “This will be a true test for me.”
No female fighter in BKFC history has more stoppage victories than Ferea, the proud owner of five finishes in the BKFC Squared Circle. She predicts the judges once again won’t be necessary in Denver.
“There’s only one outcome in every fight when facing me, and that’s either a KO or a TKO – there are no other ways out when toeing the line with me.”
