Jade “Evil Smile” Masson-Wong is counting down the seconds until March 2.

On that date, the hard-hitting Quebec City, QC fighter returns to action in the Co-Main Event of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s highly anticipated Canadian debut at River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton, AB, LIVE on The BKFC App.

“I’m very excited that BKFC is coming to Canada for the first time. There are a lot of BKFC fans in Canada, and they’ll be so happy to be able to see the sport live in our country for the first time,” the fan-favorite flyweight says.

“I’m very proud to represent Quebec and Canada in BKFC. It’s an honor for me to be in the Co-Main Event for this card.”

Masson-Wong is grateful for the opportunity to simultaneously represent her country in her sport, and represent BKFC, the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion, to her fellow Canadians on their own turf.

“Putting on an entertaining show is really important because, firstly, I want to get more people to become fans of our sport, and I want the organization to want to come back to Canada and expand across the country,” she says.

“I want people to remember this historic event as a success.”

Masson-Wong, the No. 1 contender in the BKFC women’s flyweight division, is preparing for battle with Gabrielle Roman (1-0-1), the No. 5 contender in the weight class. At River Cree Resort & Casino, Masson-Wong will try to climb to 3-1 with her second straight win and earn the next shot at BKFC World Women’s Flyweight Champion Christine “Misfit” Ferea (8-1).

March 2 is the day of Masson-Wong’s fight, but combat sports fans around the world are equally eager for March 1, when she will weigh in for her bout. Masson-Wong’s must-see face-off with Taylor Starling went megaviral ahead of her most recent fight, and she will likely make worldwide headlines again in Edmonton.

“I want to do something special (for weigh-ins),” she says with a big smile. “It’s not set up yet, but I have some ideas working! Weigh-ins are a good way to increase your visibility, so I take advantage of the opportunity.”
