Jacob ‘The Rosedale Strangler’ Akin has an extensive MMA career dating back to 2007 as an amateur. He spent those years grinding on the Midwest regional scene, mostly in Missouri and he turned pro in 2011. Akin has literally made a name for himself by being a nasty grappler, training out of American Jiu Jitsu in Overland Park, Kansas. We have learned that grappling and wrestling is surprisingly a solid base for the BKFC ruleset, so keep an eye on the MMA veteran.
Akin has struggled against the knockout in his MMA career with a majority of his losses coming that way, but as we know, this is a different world. Akins high level of experience including some boxing should prove to be useful as he makes his debut against Matt Guymon in Kansas City.
