Edgard 'The Dreamkiller' Plazaola is a BK prospect in every sense of the word. In a game where the average age of a champion is mid 30s, the '88 born undefeated fighter has a solid shot at gold in his future. At 5'6", he is shorter even for his 145-pound division but the power in "The Dreamkiller's" hands is unreal. Reminiscent of the UFC's Michael Chandler in his training footage and fight style, the fans are in for a show when Plazaola steps into the Squared Circle.
In his MMA days Plazaola didn't have a weak spot. Whether the fight stayed on the feet or went to the ground, he was usually the one dictating the pace and trajectory of the bout. With explosive entrances to the pocket and lightning quick hand speed, all of the Nicaraguan born's opponents have never seen what's coming. With finishes in every single one of his bouts, the featherweight division truly has a problem on its hands.
In his BKFC debut back at KnuckleMania 2, it would seem that he changed the career trajectory of Chevvy Bridges. After a three round back and forth war where both fighters showed everything you'd want to see in a fight, Plazaola landed three consecutive right hands at 100% power which dropped Bridges down to the canvas. In that same fight, Plazaola took Bridges' very best shots and even looked wobbly at times before scoring the knockout.
Despite being a dream killer in the Squared Circle, Plazaola is a very dedicated family man with two young daughters who he brings to the gym with him on occasion and encourages them to stay active. Along with more traditional training methods, he rides bikes for exercise and mixes in other sports just to stay active. His Physique shows that he has the physical ability to match his dangerous skill set whether the fight lasts 10 seconds or 10 minutes.
