Dominick Carey made his professional debut in BKFC and made good on his inaugural performance albeit with controversy. Carey was in a competitive fight against Angelo Trujillo when he was struck repeatedly after he took a knee to regain composure. Trujillo was disqualified in that bout which gave Carey the win and that gave him a co-main slot in his sophomore performance against Andrew Strode.

'DomThe Bomb' holds a record of 2-1 in amateur MMA and both wins came via rear naked choke in the sport. "I got that name because I lull my opponents to sleep as that fuse is slowly burning, and then boom, it explodes! I fight in blitzes." Training with a top contender in Tyler Randall can't hurt the guys chances in running up the BKFC ranks either.

Carey will alternate a plodding, move forward style with bouncy footwork depending on what his opponent gives him and fight mentally just as much as he will physically. He became the AKBF (USA Karate Promotions LLC) amateur flyweight champ in August of 2022.
